Explaining the Difference Between Google AdWords and AdSense
As I talk with students I find that a lot of them do not fully understand the difference between two very popular Google programs: AdWords and AdSense. The purpose of this post is not to go into all of the nitty-gritty details, but to give you a general overview so you understand what each is used for. So let’s take a look at the differences so you can understand how to use each one of them.
Google AdSense
Google AdSense is a monetization technique that you can use on your website. For example, if you visit my ecommerce blog, you will see a block of ads on most of the posts. These are AdSense ads. See the image below for an example:
